Ingredients of Kulfi:

You should gather the following ingredients before you start making Kulfi at home.

Item Quantity
Almonds (ground) 2 cups
Condensed milk 2 cups
Milk 1/2 cup
Fresh cream 8 tablespoon
Saffron 15 strands
Pistachio 6
Blanched almonds 2 tablespoon

Making Kulfi on Holi:

Take a large bowl and put ground almonds, condensed milk, and cream into it. Whisk them all together until the batter gets thick. Now keep it aside.

Take a saucepan and boil milk in it over a high flame. After the milk boils, add saffron strands. When the milk mixes well with saffron, take off the pan from the stove and set it aside for cooling.

When the milk cools down, add the almond mixture into it and mix well. It will be creamy and thick now.

Take out another pan and heat it. Dry roast almonds and pistachios onto it for a few seconds. After that, leave some and add all the other to the kulfi mixture and mix well.

Now pour the kulfi mixture into kulfi molds and cover their tops by the lid or butter paper. Leave the molds in the freezer for at least 4 hours. Take out when you want to serve. And don’t forget to sprinkle almonds and pistachios over the kulfi.

Jalebi on Holi 2020 – Snack Recipe With Twisted Tunnels of Sweet Syrup

Holi demands some sweet twists and turns, yeah I am talking about Jalebi recipe. You may think it is difficult to make perfect Jalebis at home. But not anymore because we are here to share with you a fantastic recipe.

Jalebi is a sweet snack that is super yummy and juicy as there is sugary syrup in its narrow tunnels. Also, it is crispy too. So we can say that it is a perfect combo of sweet crisps. So here we go with the super easy recipe.

Ingredients of Jalebi:

You must arrange the following ingredients before you start making Jalebis at home.

Item Quantity
Self-rising flour 2 cups
Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
Yogurt 1 cup
Saffron 3 strands
Cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon
Vegetable oil 3 inches
Orange food color 2 drops
Sugar 1 cup
Rosewater 2 tablespoons

Making of Jalebi on Holi:

Take out a bowl and add flour, baking powder, food color, and yogurt into it. Mix well to form a batter and keep it aside for about 24 hours for fermentation.

Boil sugar and rosewater into a saucepan to make the sugar syrup. Boil until it gets the consistency of one thread. After that, turn off the fire and add cardamom and saffron strands and mix well.

Pour the batter into a plastic bottle that you can squeeze and make sure it has a narrow tip. After that, preheat oil in a deep and wide pan on medium flame. Now squeeze the batter bottle over the oil in circles like Jalebis.

Fry Jalebis until they turn golden brown from both sides. After you remove them from oil, put them directly into the sugar syrup. Let Jalebis soak sugar syrup for about 3 hours and then take them out of the syrup. Serve warm for a great taste.

Motichur Laddu on Holi 2020 – Easy Recipe to Try at Home

Ingredients for Motichur Holi:

You will need the following ingredients to make these Laddus at home.

Item Quantity
Gram flour 2 cups
Green cardamom 1 teaspoon
Edible food color 1/2 teaspoon
Milk 1/2 liter
Ghee 6 cups
Baking soda 1 pinch
Sugar 3 cups
Milk 1/4 cup
Water 4 cups

Making of Motichur Laddu:

First, you have to make sugar syrup. For this purpose, heat water over a medium flame in a large pan. Add sugar and stir the solution continuously until the sugar is completely dissolved. After the sugar syrup boils, add milk and let it cook for about 5 minutes.

Add orange food color and cardamom powder to the solution when it attains the consistency of two strings. After that, keep it aside.

Take a large bowl and put gram flour into it. Add milk in a small quantity and mix it. Keep on adding more until it gets smooth. After that, add baking soda and mix it well too.

Heat ghee in a deep frying pan. Place a perforated ladle on ghee and pour batter over it. The batter will fall into the hot oil and cook it until it gets golden and soft. After frying, place it on a tissue or white paper so that excess oil drains out.

Mix this fried stuff into the sugar syrup. After the mixture cools down, shape it to make small balls of the size of Laddu. Serve fresh or store them in an airtight container.

Boiling water 2 cups
Butter 2 tablespoons
Long grain white rice 1 cup
Salt 1 teaspoon

Making of Saffron Rice on Holi:

Pour saffron in 1/2 cup of boiling water. Now take a saucepan that you can tightly cover and melt the butter in it over medium heat. After it melts, put rice and salt in it and stir. Keep on stirring until the rice absorbs the butter and gains an opaque color. Make sure they don’t turn brown.

When you get the desired color, pour the remaining boiling water and the water with saffron in it into the rice. Just after you do it, cover the saucepan and lower the heat. Leave the rice to cook for about 20 minutes until rice absorbs all the liquid.

Ras Malai on Holi 2020 – Magical and Sweet Dough Balls Recipe

Whole milk ricotta cheese 15 ounce
White sugar 1/4 cup
Half and half 3 cups
White sugar 1 cup
Ground cardamom 1/4 teaspoon
Rosewater 1/2 teaspoon
Saffron 1 pinch
Chopped almonds 1 tablespoon
Chopped pistachio nuts 2 teaspoons

Making of Ras Malai:

Set the oven to preheat up to 175 degrees Celcius. Now blend the ricotta cheese and sugar together with the help of a hand mixer. After that, divide it into around 12 muffin cups. Now bake them into the oven for about 35 to 40 minutes. Set them aside for cooling and remove from the pans about 10 minutes later and arrange them on the serving dish.

Put half and half into a saucepan and cook it on low heat until it simmers for about 10 minutes. After that, put sugar, cardamom, saffron, and rose water into it. Let the mixture simmer for about 2 minutes more. And remove it from the stove and set aside so that it cools down.

After the mixture gains normal temperature, pour it over the cheese balls. Sprinkle pistachio and almonds over it and server when chilled.
