Ingredients of Flavored Bhang:

To make a yummy Flavored Bhang, you will be needing the following ingredients.

Warm milk4 cups
Chopped almonds2 tablespoons
Garam masala1/8 teaspoon
Ginger powder1/4 teaspoon
Sugar1 cup

Making the Flavored Bhang:

Give a rapid boil to water and pour it into a teapot. Clean marijuana by removing seeds and twigs from it. Put it into the teapot and cover the teapot. Leave it aside for about 7 minutes. Tie a heavy muslin cloth over a pot and pour the water in the teapot onto it.

Now put the drained water aside. Take the marijuana leftover onto your hands and squeeze to extract any remaining liquid. Whatever you got, add it to the water you saved earlier.

Whatever residue of marijuana remains, put it into a mortar. Add 2 teaspoons of warm milk and slowly grind marijuana. Squeeze the milk out of the ground paste and repeat the process for about 4 to 5 times. Collect all the squeezed milk into a bowl. The marijuana left will be a pulpy mass now.

Now add almonds and warm milk into the mortar and grind to make a fine paste. Extract the milk like done with marijuana earlier. Repeat a few times until the residue is like fibers and nut meal.

In the end, combine the 3 extracted liquids; the marijuana water, marijuana milk, and almond milk. Add rosewater, garam masala, dried ginger, sugar, and remaining milk to it. Chill Flavored Bhang for at least an hour before you serve.

Kharbooj/ tarbooj skinned seeds1 tablespoon
Saunf (aniseed)1/2 tablespoon
Khuskhus (poppy seeds)1/2 tablespoon
Cardamom powder1/2 teaspoon
Rosewater1/2 teaspoon
Peppercorns whole1 teaspoon
Dried or fresh rose petals1/4 cup

Making Thandai:

Take ½ liter of water, soak sugar in it, and put it aside. By the time, wash all dry ingredients thoroughly except cardamom if you are using its powder. Add all of them in 2 cups of water and keep it aside too.

After about 2 hours, grind the second soaked mixture to a fine paste. When the paste looks very fine, add the remaining water to it. Now tie a heavy muslin cloth or strainer to the edges of a deep vessel. But the fine paste onto it and drain it by pressing with hands. Repeat the process by adding some water each time to it. Repeat until the mixture becomes as dry as a husk.

Now add sugar solution, rosewater, and cardamom powder to the extracted solution. Mix it well and chill Thandai for at least 2 hours before serving.

Making Bhang Ke Vade

Soak sugar in a half-liter of water and keep it aside. Wash all the dry ingredients, excluding cardamom powder carefully. Soak all in 2 cups of water and keep it aside too. When at least 2 hours pass for both, grind all the soaked ingredients except sugar to make a very fine paste. Then add the remaining water into it.

Tie a piece of strong muslin cloth over a deep vessel to be used as a strainer. Put the mixture into it and press with both of your hands. So that all the liquid drains out. Repeat the process and add a little of the remaining water each time you do it. Keep on repeating the process until the mixture becomes dry and like a husk.

Now add sugar, rose water, cardamom powder, and milk into the extracted liquid. Chill it for at least an hour then serve.
