Ingredients of Poori:
You will need the following ingredients to make the perfect pooris.
Item | Quantity |
Whole wheat flour | 2 cups |
Salt | To taste |
Vegetable oil | 2 tablespoons |
Making of Poori on Holi:
Add salt into the floor and start kneading by adding water in a small amount. Keep on adding water until you need no more of it. Knead it well to make a smooth and medium soft dough. When you get the required consistency of dough, add oil to it and continue kneading until it gets silky.
Now cover the dough with a damp cloth and place it into the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. After that, divide the dough into golf-sized balls and roll each one until there is no crack in it.
When it is time to fry the Poori, roll the golf ball of dough to 5-inch diameter. Preheat oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat. Deep fry all, one at a time. Press them gently so that they can puff up. Fry until the Poori turns golden brown from both sides. After that, place it on white paper so that excess oil drains out.
Serve hot and fresh. So that it tastes amazing with anything you serve.
