Northeast India celebrates Holi with the same enthusiasm as north India does. Tripura does it with its own hilly color. Let’s explore it.
Holi 2020 in Tripura:
This state of India is surrounded by Bangladesh from three sides. Hindu community, along with people of other religions, come together to celebrate Holi. It shows the spirit of communal harmony.
People gather hay, dry leaves, and pieces of wood. In the evening before Holi, they light a bonfire with it. Then they sing and dance around to celebrate the victory of good over evil.

On the next day, everyone comes out of their homes. They gather in parks, streets, roads, and in parking places of residential buildings. From morning till afternoon, playing Holi of colors continues. People use dry as well as wet colors for the purpose.
Night after Holi:
After playing Holi of colors, people come back home, take a bath, and dress up again. Then they visit their friends and family to have dinner together. They forget all the sorrows and fights and start a new beginning.
