Holi 2020 in Jharkhand – Celebrations in Eastern Indian State

People assume that Holi is the festival for north India, and other parts of it don’t take part in it. Jharkhand is a state of eastern India which celebrates it with much energy.

Holi 2020 in Jharkhand:

People of Jharkhand celebrate Holi, either they are Hindu or not. Everyone comes along to show the spirit of communal harmony.

Holika Dahan:

People light the bonfire in the evening before the day of Holi. Then they sing and dance around in joy, meet and greet each other. It is to celebrate the victory of good over evil.

Play of colors:

On the day of Holi, people come out of their homes. They play Holi with colors with colored water, Pichkaris, water balloons, and colored powder. Some of them also play in the mud on this occasion. They dress up in white in the morning, and when they return, it does not looks white anymore.

Evening of Holi:

After playing with colors, people return home. They take a bath and dress up again to visit their friends and family. They enjoy food together with love.
