Holi Clothes and Outfit – What to Wear and What Not To in 2020?

Holi is the festival of colors. And what people do most on it is playing with colors. No one knows what affects the color will leave on the clothes he or she is wearing. So beware when you choose the clothes or outfit you will wear on Holi.

You will have to take into account many factors while making a choice. And believe me, all of them are crucial. If you compromise on any of it, the results will be heartbreaking. Because it can destroy your favorite dress that you wore for the first time, so don’t take such risks and read this article till the end. After that, your Holi 2020 will be safer.

Holi Clothes and Outfit:

Holi demands that you wear clothes on which the colors you play with remain visible. But it is not a clear description of the dress code. So see below what we have for you here.

The essential wears:

Before you decide what you want to wear on Holi, these steps are a must. Properly massage coconut oil or almond oil on your entire body. Make sure that the whole body means the whole body, including hair. By doing this, your body will not have direct contact with toxic colors. So there will be fewer chances of any after-effects. You will also be able to quickly rinse all the color away by taking a shower after the color play.

Make sure to cover your hair with a scarf or shower cap if your hairs are of light color because the Holi colors can stay there for a long time too.

Make sure to wear sunglasses because if the color gets into your eyes, it will cause severe allergies.

Color play dress code:

If you are in India or anywhere else, the dress code for the Holi color play is white. No matter what you wear, but white is a must. Make sure that the white is not fancy and is cheap. Because the more you get close to colors, the more the chance is that your dress will be ruined.

For boys, it can be a white Shalwar Suit or a white t-shirt with jeans.

For girls in India, the lovely option is white Shalwar Kameez. Although you can experiment with the color of your Chunri, but make sure to wear the inners as the clothes can become see-through as they get wet. Because it is almost summer and you are wearing cotton.

A white t-shirt or a white top with jeans is best for girls around the world. You can also go for it if you are in India.

Holi food time:

Food is also a must when it is Holi. For eating a meal that people especially prepare for Holi, everyone gets together. It is mostly after the color play. So people take a bath and dress up again in tidy outfits. We can say that it is the only occasion of Holi where you can wear the outfit and clothes of your choice. So wear a saree, maxi, formal dress, fancy clothes, and anything you want and focus on enjoying the food.

Outfit for club parties:

Holi doesn’t end with the color play nowadays. Many people go to the clubs at night to enjoy music and dance. As it is Holi, so the color play here is also a must.

Dressing up for a club is easy for boys. Because they can wear a white t-shirt with jeans, shorts, or pants, and there will be no risk of the destruction of the outfit at all. If something happens, the outfit doesn’t cost them much. And it is not like that they can never get such thing again in life.

For girls, it is always a problem to select the outfit. No matter if it is Holi or some other occasion. Going to a club wearing white Shalwar Kameez is not cool. So you can also go for a white t-shirt with jeans or shorts if you are comfortable with them. Make sure to wear the inners because if the color play involves water and the shirt is thin, it can become an awkward see-through moment.

The other option is to wear a short Frock. Make sure it is not expensive. And it must be light in colors. Not necessarily white and plain, but light colors if printed. You can also go with a short skirt and a simple top. But a long skirt is as bad as a long Maxi. But short Maxi that is not too wide is also a good option for the club parties.

Also, make sure that the shoes you wear are washable. It is the point to ponder no matter if you are a boy or girl.

Now you are ready to enjoy Holi. Now decorate your home for the festival. Read some fantastic Holi decoration ideas here.
