Hindu community that lives outside India miss their cultural festivals. Their kids also don’t have any introduction to the roots of traditions and festivals. So it is an excellent idea for them to organize the birthday party of their kids in the theme of Holi. By that, the kids will have a brief introduction to the festivities related to the Holi festival, and everyone will love this unique idea too. Let’s learn how you can do it.
Holi Birthday Party:
When the word Holi comes in mind, it triggers that everything will be as colorful as possible. With that, think of a color play at the birthday party to revive the feelings of the Holi festival.
The birthday cake:
If you are making the cake yourself, make the icing white with the spray of different color powders on to it. If you have to order it to a bakery, make sure they get your point and make it as good as it could be. You can also shape the cake as a Pichkari. The icing should be then in the form of a half-filled Pichkari with a few color stains in front of it.
Birthday decorations:
When you buy balloons for the birthday, make sure to buy a few of each color. Decorate your walls with them. Also use colorful ribbons, paper fans, and pom-poms. Try making a few smoke bombs or buy one to blow at the time the cake cutting ceremony is in progress. Also, buy some colorful snow spray, it all will combine to make sure the birthday party is more Holi then a boring cake cutting ceremony.
Invitation cards:
Design the birthday invitation card as colorful as it could be. Write in clear words that it is going to be a color blast so everyone should be ready. Also mention wearing white or light color clothes.
Food to serve:
The food you prepare to serve to your guests should include everything you love to eat on Holi. If I were you, I would have served Besan Papdi as a starter, Thandai as a drink, Gujiya as a snack, Chicken Korma with Kulcha as the main course, and Kulfi as a dessert. Also, I would have added some colorful toppings on to it.
Color play:
The most exciting thing about the Holi party will be the color play. Bring some organic color powders and put them in bowls. Also, mix a few of it in water and buy some Pichkaris. Introduce everyone new to Holi with all this equipment and instruct them on how to play Holi. Within no time, everyone will get involved, and your birthday party will be a massive hit of the season.
