Making of Gulab Jamun on Holi:
Take a deep pan and add sugar and water in it. Boil the solution till the sugar dissolves, and it gains the consistency of sugar syrup. Now add cardamom powder and rosewater into it. Mix well and keep it aside.
Take a large bowl and mix powdered milk, baking powder, and flour into it. Make a smooth dough out of it by keeping on adding a little cream. Make sure that the final batter is medium soft and is not sticky.
After the dough is ready, make walnut-sized balls of it and roll each one thoroughly with your hands. Keep your hands greased while you do it and make sure there is no crack in each ball you make.
Preheat oil on a medium flame in a deep and wide pan. Fry Jamun balls in it and occasionally stir so that the balls are equally brown from each side. While you remove the balls from the oil, use a slotted spoon to drain the excess oil. After that, immediately transfer these balls to the sugar syrup.
Make sure that each ball remains in the sugar syrup for at least 2 hours before you serve Gulab Jamuns. You can serve them along with the syrup, or you can serve them taken out of the syrup.
Gulab Jamuns alone is not enough for the Holi menu. You must also add some other side dishes to the menu too. Learn about easy to make at home side dishes here.
So your Gulab Jamuns are ready to rock your Holi 2020 menu. You can make it earlier from the mealtime too so that there is a lot of spare time to cook other dishes.
